Saddington Taylor helped the landowner to secure full planning permission for a bespoke scheme of 5no. dwellings arranged in a traditional courtyard style development on land adjacent to Danby Cottage, Nosterfield.
The application site is located outside of Development Limits and close to the important heritage site of Thornborough Henge which raised significant archaeological issues for the application. Despite these constraints, we were able to negotiate a sensitive design solution which took account of the site’s edge of village setting.
Through appropriate archaeological investigation, the project team, managed by Saddington Taylor, were able to successfully deal with the on-site issues. The application was determined by the Planning Committee and Members declared unanimous support for the proposal.
The landowner is delighted to have secured planning permission and is discussions with a developer to sell the site. We look forward to this exciting project coming forward.
