Public Consultation: Have Your Say
Background
Karbon Homes and Oaktree Living are bringing forward plans for new affordable homes on land at Alne Road, Easingwold.
The site will consist of 100% affordable housing, comprising 32 new homes designed to meet local housing needs. The exact tenure of the homes will be confirmed during the determination of the planning application.
The homes will be situated within the designated area, with priority given to individuals connected to the Easingwold Civil Parish, ensuring the new affordable housing benefits the local community directly.
We want to hear your views before we formally submit a planning application to North Yorkshire Council. Your feedback will be shared with our design team to help shape the proposal before we submit an application for planning permission.
Key Benefits
The development will include:
- A mix of 1-bed, 2-bed, 3-bed and 4-bed affordable homes for local people, helping families stay in the area.
- Attractive landscaping including tree planting and open green space.
- Sustainable transport links with bus stops on nearby Raskelf Road and Long Street.
- Generates direct and indirect jobs during construction.
- An energy efficient design with air source heat pumps and solar panels.
- Retention and management of existing woodland with additional tree planting to provide a privacy buffer between new and existing properties.
